Ragnar and Ari Trausti are currently working on two books for Mál og menning publishing firm in Reykjavík. One (North Light) is on the magnificient light phenomena in the Arctic regions, such as the northern lights, halos, the glow of the midnight sun and the snow light. The other one explaines all the relevant geological terms used in Icelandic geology in detail; with exellent photos and graphic illustrations. The pair is also preparing a book, along with other photographers, on the history of the volcanic activity in Iceland for Vaka-Helgafell publishing firm. Ari Trausti and Ragnar embarked on a new assignment which is not to be revealed fully yet, as they started to collect photos and source material related to anthropological questions in the Arctic and linking up with several prominent scientists in this field. |
